Well, the sunshine came back at just the right time for a very beautiful meet tonight. I was so afraid it was going to be foggy, cold, and rainy. We got lucky. Thank you, Mother Nature.

Thank you all for being on time tonight and for all the extra help that was needed to run tonight’s meet. It was kind of nice to see what an automated timing system would be like at our pool–without having to buy one. It did require more help with timing and setting-up. A big thank you to all who helped and all that did more than one job tonight so we would be covered. And, that snack bar menu and food was outstanding!

Swimmers, thank you again for providing us with such great races to watch. Those times are a droppin’. Your hard work continues to pay off. Keep it up.

Coaches, thank you for all your time and expertise to get those swimmers faster each meet. I do love sitting by the edge of a pool with you.

Our next meet is Wednesday, July 6 at our pool against FAST. All swimmers need to be checked in with their coach by 5:00 p.m. The scratch meeting will be at 5:15, and we hope to start the meet at 6:00. Your coaches and I need to know by this Friday if your swimmer will not be participating in this meet. Tomorrow I’ll send out the list of “out” swimmers we have so far. Next week will be a quick turn-around for meets. We have one Wednesday and then again on Saturday. The coaches have lots of work to do to be ready for these meets. By Monday, July 4, they’ll need to know if your swimmer will be out for the Saturday, July 9 meet. With the holiday and such, please think about this and communicate with us so the coaches will know who/what to expect. Thanks.

Our evening practice on Monday, July 4 has been changed to a morning practice. Treat it as you would any morning practice.

Hi Everyone!
Just a reminder to join us at Sweet Tomatoes tomorrow night for our Del Prado fundraiser.  It starts at 5pm and they are giving us a generous 20%!!  The only catch is you must bring the flyer and order drinks with your meal.

Sammy Stingray here. We have a slight change in the Del Prado Stingray schedule. The first meet of the season June 19, 2010 will be at our pool against FAST, as the Foothill Pool will be drained for maintenance that weekend.

So here is the updated schedule for 2010.

Hi Parents and Swimmers,

It is hard to believe, but it is time to start thinking about the upcoming Del Prado Stingray swim season. We are very happy to welcome back Coaches Tom Juarez, Jamie Plummer, John Reimer, and our Assistant Coaches Jillian Blandino, Nicki Doi, and Eric Gates.

The newsletter contains everything you need to get you started for the 2010 swim season including application instructions, schedule for 2010, application form, and emergency form.

Please note swim team applications will be accepted by mail only. Any questions regarding registration should be directed to Eva Kitayama ekitayama@yahoo.com. All applications are due by March 1, 2010.

This year we will not be holding an official parent meeting. Once registration has closed and the roster is finalized, each family will receive all pertinent information via email. Any questions regarding that information will be answered at our fitting day at the pool on April 17, 2010. Sign-ups for voluteer positions for all dual meets will also be taken April 17th.

The chairperson for the 2010 swim season is Joan Strom. Any questions regarding the swim team may be directed to her at stromj5@comcast.net.

So while you are watching the Super Bowl or the Winter Olympics download the Del Prado Swim Team 2010 newsletter, print it out, fill it in, and mail it to Eva before March 1st.
