You all swam so marvelously. Especially when it was so very warm. I worked hard last night to upload and edit the pictures from the swim meeting. Check your parents email for the special link to see the lastest set of photos from your meet at ClubSport.

Well, this was hands-down, just the most perfect day in every way. That meet today was unbelievable. We had so many good swims in every age group. There was a data input error in one of the medley relays that has now been fixed. The final score is DP 564, Club Sport 416. Gee, my fingers love typing that.

I think we all shared this wonderful thing that happened today. I know we beat Club Sport at the championship meet in 2003. I think that was the last time we had beat them in either a dual or champ meet. ( I could be wrong. My memory isn’t as good as it used to be.) In any event, we were due.
I thank each and every swimmer for working so hard at practice and then coming prepared to swim their best today…and they did. We saw some very amazing races from so many of you. That’s what was really so great. Our entire team was dominant. It stared with those medley relays. How exciting was that??!!! Very special congratulations go to Stephanie Doi who broke the 13-14 girls’ freestyle record with a 26.69, and she also broke the 13-14 fly record with a 29.55. Both of those were 5-year-old records. Her sister Niki broke the 15-18 girls’ breaststroke record with a time of 33.47. That was a 4-year-old team record. Way to swim fast. I believe they were swimming for a very special person in their lives…and I know that he’s very proud.
Coaches, you seeded us a winning meet. Thank you so much. I loved our pre-meet cheer, our mid-meet cheer, and our group hug/cheer at the end. You make our kids happy to work hard for our team. You inspire them. You really care and it shows. Thank you.
Parents, thank you for helping us run a great meet on such a hot day. I know that working in some of those jobs with no shade was hard and tiring. Thank you for sticking it out for the whole day….
and what fun tonight at the pool. I think just about every family was there. The pool was crowded with Stingrays. What a great sight. I loved visiting with everyone, swimming in the pool, and eating those Sha-Boo-Ya cupcakes.
Next Swim Meet
Our next meet is Wednesday, July 1, against the City of Dublin. This meet will begin at 6:00 p.m. All swimmers should arrive and be checked in with their coach by 5:00. The scratch meeting will be at 5:15. Our snack bar will be up and running so plan to eat out that night and support our team. We are still over for the number of allowed swimmers for that meet. If you’ll be gone and haven’t notified your coach yet, please do so ASAP! Thank you to Russ Bell for sharing his microphone with us so we can have a good PA system for that meet.
A side note….two bikes belonging to two swimmers were stolen from the front of the pool yesterday. Please remember to lock up any and all belongings so this won’t happen again.

Hi. Our big meet this week is Saturday against Club Sport Pleasanton at their pool. All swimmers must arrive and be checked in with their coach by 8:00 a.m. Please plan your travel there accordingly. The scratch meeting will be at 8:15 and the meet should start at 9:00. There will be a side gate entrance to their pool area. All persons entering this area will need to sign a waiver. This is a new rule Club Sport has for swim meets. Rest up, eat well, and swim your fastest, Stingrays!!
We are still in need of a few volunteer positions filled–mainly computer scoring. We need a person for our July 8 meet, 2nd half; July 11 meet, both halves; July 18, 1st half; and July 25, 2nd half. This is just data entry. Don’t be scared of this job. I think it may be one of the easiest. You are guaranteed shade, a seat, and can always leave the office to watch your swimmer swim. If you can help, please let Beth Borchers know ASAP. Thanks.
Tomorrow is the deadline for letting your coach know if your swimmer won’t be swimming at our meet on Wednesday, July 1, against the City of Dublin. This meet is quickly approaching. . We only have 9 and we need 21 swimmers not swimming. So, if you haven’t let your coach know, please do so quickly.
I will be sending out an order form for championship t-shirts soon. This order will be due earlier than usual. I’ll be sending a sample of the shirt along with the order form. If interested, fill out the form, follow the directions, and return to me by the date specified.

2. Browse the set of photos. There are many pages so click on the page numbers or click next to browse.
Click on the photo you like and this will take you to the “Photo Page”.
3. Or browse photos from the slideshow
To get to the slideshow when you first get to the photo set from your email link click on the word Slideshow in the upper right hand corner.
Pause the slideshow to browse.
Remember with the slideshow to click “Show Info” to see the Title of the photo in this case “Bhill2 224″
Click on the Title and this will take you to the “Photo Page”.
5. At the “Photo Page”
Click on “All Sizes” to chose the size of photo
7. Pick the size you wish to Download (Square, Thumbnail, Small, Medium, Large, Original)

What a super-fantastic start to our swim season! How nice it was to have Briarhill host the meet but at our pool. Now all those great times that were swam today count. And, what great times they were.
Swimmers, you all did so well–especially for the first official meet of the season. There’s nothing better than to watch those just beginning…and succeeding and those that have swam for years. All of you tried so hard and all the hard work you’ve put in so far, already shows. Keep up the great work. I also loved seeing our great team spirit. Did you hear the cheers from our spirit squad?? Too cute. All of you showed up on time and our only scratches were due to illness. Caroline and Lindsey, we hope you feel better soon.
Parents, thanks to all of you who helped set-up, run, and clean-up our meet. As you all know, we couldn’t do it without all of your help. It’s very much appreciated.
Coaches, great job getting our swimmers ready for their first meet. We love your direction and enthusiasm. Our “little ones” did very well today and I think a big part of that is also having the addition of 3 great assistant coaches–Eric, Niki, and Jill. Eric and Niki, not only did you swim today but you coached and helped the other swimmers. Thank you.
Our next swim meet is next Saturday, June 27 against Club Sport Pleasanton at their pool. The meet will begin at 9 a.m. All swimmers will need to arrive and check in by 8:00 a.m. Your coach needs to know if your swimmer won’t be swimming in that meet by Monday.

Hi. I have a few things to tell you. First of all, tomorrow, June 10, is the last practice for the week. Congratulations to all those graduating and promoting. Enjoy all the festivities. Tomorrow is also the last day to receive a refund if your swimmer no longer wishes to participate. Please email me with your request and arrangements will be made to refund you your registration fee.
Time Trials – June 15th
Monday, June 15, is our “time trial meet.” We will begin to set-up the pool at 5 p.m. We’ll start the trials as soon as the pool is ready. All swimmers should plan to be at the pool by 5 p.m. We run this like a meet. Swimmers will swim as many events as possible so we can have current times in our data base. As soon as trials are over, we will celebrate the beginning of our season with a potluck dessert party. Please plan to bring something yummy to share. Your swim team will provide the paper products and drinks. If you can help with set-up, clean-up, or shopping, please see Cindi Sabatini. (Sign-up sheets for this are on the tables as you enter the pool.)
Picture Day – June 16th
Picture day is Tuesday, June 16. You can start arriving at the pool around 8 a.m. wearing your team suit. The photo will be snapped at 8:30 sharp.
First Meet of the Season – June 2oth
Lastly, our meet against Briarhill is now at our pool (Saturday June 20th). Since we didn’t know this when we had our parent meeting/volunteer sign-ups, we need some extra help. If you can help with set-up the morning of that meet, please let Beth Borchers know this. Briarhill will be running the snack bar for this meet.
They will be selling/taking orders for ”Eco-Chic” bags and sharing the profits of these with our team. They will be bringing bags with our teams colors of black and red. Below is a sample of the bags. They look to be a great pool bag. Whew, I think that’s it for now. Take good care and see you at the pool.
