Another great meet today. Thank you to all volunteers who helped set-up, run, and clean-up our meet. How wonderful it was to walk into the pool and see such beautiful, inspiring messages. I wonder if the chalk fairy’s cousin did this handywork. ha! That Stingray spirit is alive and well. It was also great to see former swimmers Alana Sulger, Billy Boughton, Evan Jackson, and Scott Fitzgerald cheering on the team.
Thank you, swimmers, for continuing to improve your times. Every race is an important one. Congratulations to Eric Gates for breaking his own record set last week in the 13-14 backstroke with a 29.48.
thank you, coaches, for devoting so much time to our team. your enthusiasm and knowledge are paying off with great swims and spirit from your swimmers.
it’s going to be a busy week for all of us and especially for our coaches. if your swimmer will not be swimming either wednesday night or next saturday, please let them know ASAP. as of right now, we only have 9 swimmers missing wednesday night. we need to have 16 to make our number. our meet wednesday will begin at 6 p.m. all swimmers must check in with their coach by 5 p.m. with the scratch meeting taking place at 5:15. we will be swimming against fast at our pool. there will be practice for all that can/want to attend on wednesday morning. thursday will be our past feed with dinner served after each practice session. our meet next saturday, july 14, is against ruby hill at their pool. check our website for directions. that meet will begin at 9 a.m. and all swimmers must check in by 8 a.m. with their coach.
I think that’s it for now. Enjoy your weekend.
Go stingrays,
Joan
